Cory is an Austin, TX based musician and teacher. Born in Wisconsin, Cory started playing guitar at the age of 11, picking up the bass and piano along the way. He studied jazz guitar at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and earned a degree in Music Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Shortly after moving to Austin in 1998, Cory got a position at the Austin School of Music where he is an instructor to this day.
As a sideman, Cory has performed, recorded and toured with many great Austin artists including Fastball, Texas Tycoons, Darin Murphy, Sheboygan and Paula Nelson. Currently, he is the bass player for acclaimed cover band, Skyrocket and plays private events as a solo artist. He enjoys writing and performing his own music whenever he can.

Cory loves dogs and has two; a puggle named Winston and a pomchi named Sugar.
He enjoys sports and is a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks.
His first concert was Willie Nelson.
Cory’s favorite musicians are Prince, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney.
